Legal & General has announced the launch of the next generation of OLP Connect, its online protection quote and apply system.
It will provide enhanced screens and digital capability that will allow advisers to undertake the full application journey on a tablet or mobile device.
Legal & General will also provide documents electronically, which advisers can email to customers during the application journey.
Legal & General's OLP Connect has been market leading since its inception in 2008, and the straight through rate is around an admirable 80%.
The system allows advisers to manage their cases from start to finish, giving them a clear view of the progress of each application.
With users in mind for these latest enhancements to the system, those familiar with previous versions will not require extensive training to understand the changes to the customer journey.
Steve Bryan, director, intermediary, Legal & General, said:"We make changes not because we have to but because we genuinely want to improve our adviser and client experience.
"Technology is changing the way we communicate and interact. Standing still in what is already an aggressive market was not an option. The next generation of OLPC builds on the success of this tried and tested system, embracing the rise of mobile technologies. This will ultimately improve the user experience for both our intermediaries and their clients.
"Moving towards an end-to-end online experience is a huge step for us. Not only will this improve efficiency, but this initiative actively supports and is aligned with our wider strategic vision to reduce our carbon footprint for generations to come."
