Autumn Budget 2024: OBR predicts rise in IPT haul

The Office for Budget Responsibility (OBR) has altered its five-year forecast for the estimated tax haul for Insurance Premium Tax (IPT).

The new estimation has risen to £45.93 billion, up £3.53bn from the Spring Budget estimation of £42.4bn earlier this year. The amended forecast followed on from a record half-year for IPT, in which the  tax haul rose to a half-year-record of £4.5bn in receipts.
