Beagle Street turns policies into works of art

Beagle Street has turned its life insurance customers' policy documents into works of art to help them avoid losing their policy details.

The artworks have policy documents on one side and the art work on the other, and are intended to be hung on the wall, either at the policy holder's home or that of a loved one.

The artwork produced by Rose Blake, Rob Lowe who is also known as Supermundane and the husband and wife team Abi and Rupert Meats, known as RUDE.

The artworks are being sent to customers when they take out life insurance through Beagle street, other services offered by the firm include online storage of documents and the option to notify loved ones when they take out a policy.

A survey of 1,000 adults by Fly Research estimated that there are £15bn worth of unclaimed assets in Britain with a large proportion in lost life assurance accounts.

The survey also found that 27% currently have "no idea" where their most important documents are stored.

Earlier this year Beagle Street placed IFAs in a dinosaur exhibition on the Jurassic Coast, leading to a video with a toy dinosaur from Informed Choice in response.

Matthew Gledhill, managing director of Beagle Street, said: "Losing a phone and keys are everyday occurrences and we waste an awful lot of time searching for them, but people simply cannot afford to lose a document like a life insurance policy.

"There are millions of pounds worth of unclaimed payouts in the UK and we want to make sure our customers and their loved ones never miss out on money owed to them.

"By turning our policies into works of art to hang on a wall, we're making it really easy for people to find their life insurance policy if needed."
