Expatriate Healthcare launches international term assurance

Expatriate Healthcare has launched an international term assurance policy to provide cover for expats even if they relocate permanently overseas.

Customers will be able to apply online or via brokers and pay their premiums monthly in sterling, dollars or euros, as well as taking their cover with them when they move country.

If sold via a broker for an individual, the application can be done either by proposal form or online. Group applications are via brokers and submitted offline.

Expatriate Healthcare provides health insurance, life insurance, travel insurance and income protection products aimed at expats with products available to 103 nationalities of expats in 151 countries.

The policy can cover group customers with employees in different locations, and the underwriting for it is provided by ANV Lloyd's of London Syndicate 779.

Lee Gerry, group manager at Expatriate Healthcare, said: "Today, more people than ever have flexible lifestyles, deciding to live and work overseas for short or long periods of time, often moving from country to country.

"As we understand it, all the other life term policies currently available to expats would restrict them from getting cover if they decide to live overseas for a while.

"We are delighted to have been able to create a term life insurance product that is ideally suited to expats, a flexible policy that follows them wherever they go."

Gerry added: "This latest innovation is part of Expatriate's mission to become a one-stop shop providing complete protection for expats, whether it be healthcare, life, travel, income protection, or all of these products."
