MPayMe, a global secure mobile payment firm is to target the UK health and protection market with a client lifestyle app.
The app, ZNAP, offers the ability for providers to offer lifestyle vouchers and offers to clients, allowing the direct redemption from their phone.
Hooman Mazaheri, CEO, Europe at ZNAP, explained: "What we are offering is a business platform that offers intimacy with the customer.
"It allows them to communicate their likes and habits, allows cross selling and upselling and delivery of targeted coupons and tips aimed at changing people's lifestyle."
The provider would encourage clients to download the app, which can be run as a standalone ZNAP brand or within a provider's existing app. Payment through the app can be by bank account or credit card.
Mazaheri explained: "For group policies, as an example, the provider would be able to offer cheap health benefits, such as gym visits or health tips. Clients would pay through the secure payment section of the app and the insurer would be able to offer points against the policy on takeup."
ZNAP added that health insurers would also be able to use the app to track treatment of patients and to generate invoices, taking into account client's policy conditions and excesses.
The app is currently in the midst of a global rollout, having already been launched in Hong Kong and Indonesia..
"This is one of the most secure apps on the market, it is safer than chip and pin and there are no personal details at all kept on the phone," said Mazaheri.
"This is a native app and is direct from the phone to our servers, which are of bank security standard. It does not use the web at all."
