Jelf is set to attack the schemes and affinities market with a dedicated team team by Rob Rees as managing director.
Mr Rees will report directly to Phil Barton, CEO (Insurance) and be responsible for building Jelf's affinity partnerships business and schemes proposition.
As part of the team, the broker has also recruited Theresa Stapleton from RBS to formulate the service centre proposition and Paul Williams from Towergate to develop its online proposition specifically for new affinity partners.
Rob Cockle, currently Jelf Partnership director will oversee the face to face client relationship management to support the proposition.
"We as a company believe that there are circa 2,000 affinity schemes currently across the UK," commented Mr Rees.
"Our aim is to maximise our existing expertise in this sector and to develop a joined up approach by creating a proposition that covers our full range of products and services - insurance, employee benefits and financial planning.
Mr Rees concluded: "There aren't many businesses that have the appetite or the scope to do this, so we really have a competitive advantage."
Mr Barton added: "The launch of the Jelf affinities business is a pivotal point in the development of Jelf Insurance Brokers.
"We are creating a proposition that will put us at the forefront of the market. The work we have done to develop a new service and distribution model will combine our online lead generation with our commitment to continuing to provide Jelf's brand of personal and professional client service.
He concluded: "We have ambitious plans in place, and I am confident that Rob and his new team have the potential to raise the bar in the market."
