AIG Life has made a series of major improvements to its Critical Illness with Term Assurance.
Some of the key enhancements are:
• AIG Life now covers more cancers than ever before, including less advanced cancers such as skin cancer and cancers in situ;
• Greater emphasis has been placed on children's critical illness cover to give families even more support. It now provides an additional payout on diagnosis of Down's syndrome and Diabetes Mellitus Type 1 among children - two conditions unique to AIG Life - as well as on diagnosis of cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida or to meet a child's requirement for intensive care;
• It pays a child death benefit of £5,000, and
• Access to the Best Doctors second opinion service has been extended for the insured person for three years after they have claimed the sum assured.
Steve Casey, Head of Marketing & Propositions at AIG Life, said: "We asked for feedback from the adviser community on enhancements they would like us to make to our critical illness cover, and we believe the comprehensive cover AIG provides now reflects the quality critical illness product their clients seek.
"Our critical illness cover is designed to keep up with the needs of families and with the major situations when customers are most likely to claim."
