Aegon UK has appointed Stephen Crosbie to the role of protection director.
Crosbie will take up the new role from the start of July, bringing with him more than 20 years of marketing experience, including 10 years working on Aegon's protection business.
More recently Crosbie managed the development of Aegon's platform propositions.
He succeeds Dougy Grant who has been in the role since 2014 and overseen a period of significant growth.
Grant has been promoted to the role of managing director and will look after Aegon's traditional products across the business.
Crosbie's current role of Commercial Marketing and Transformation Director will be taken on by Andy Manson who will join from KPMG at the end of July.
Mason has 20 years of industry expertise in sales and marketing, gained during his time at Standard Life and more recently KPMG helping banks, insurers, advisers and platforms transform their businesses.
Stephen Crosbie, protection director at Aegon UK, said: "Our recent Q1 results highlighted protection as a strong performer with sales up 18% year-on-year and demonstrated our continued commitment to the protection market. The recent string of product enhancements and digital developments have boosted our presence in the market. There's an exciting future ahead for protection at Aegon."
"I look forward to getting back to my roots in protection with Aegon and working closely with the protection team based in Edinburgh and Lytham."
