AXA PPP healthcare has rolled out a video GP service for large corporates, called Doctor@Hand, provided by Doctor Care anywhere.
The service has been trialled by some AXA PPP healthcare clients since May, and is now available to all large corporate clients with AXA PPP private medical insurance (PMI) policies.
Doctor@Hand allows patients to have secure video consultations with a UK GP, with appointments available between 8am and 10pm UK time, every day.
Patients will be able to make appointments wherever they are in the world and be able to choose a specific GP.
Prescribed medications can be delivered within 4 hours in London, the next working day across the UK, within 24 hours in Europe and within 48 hours elsewhere in the world.
Doctor@Hand is integrated with the employer's PMI plan, if a referral to PMI funded care is necessary, it can be arranged with the AXA PPP Fast Track Appointments team.
Elliott Hurst, director of health consulting at AXA PPP healthcare, said: "The wind of change is blowing through the healthcare system where, at last, patients are getting the kind of service they may have only dreamt could be possible.
"We are delighted to be working with Doctor Care Anywhere to make this dream a reality.
"Fast, convenient and easy to use, we are confident that employers and their employees will find Doctor@Hand to be a service that they truly value."
Kate Newhouse, CEO of Doctor Care Anywhere, said: "Our provision of the Doctor@Hand service to AXA PPP healthcare's corporate clients is a game-changing win for us, enabling us to reach hundreds of thousands more customers.
"We believe that our online video GP consultations service will result in a shift in the industry towards better access to healthcare driven by latest technologies."
