Claire Ginnelly has been appointed managing director of intermediary Premier Choice Group (PCG).
Ginnelly joined PCG in 2013 as head of healthcare, having previously been head of distribution at Simplyhealth, following its acquisition of Groupama Healthcare, where she had held the same role.
Ginnelly earlier worked as head of intermediary sales at Standard Life Healthcare and as broker consultant at WPA, Chancery Healthcare and Norwich Union Healthcare.
Ann Daniels, chief executive officer at PCG said: "We were delighted to get Claire on board and to now promote her to this important role within the Group.
"Claire's many years of experience working for insurers has been a great asset to the team.
"Her ability to provide a balanced view on anything to do with private medical insurance from both an insurer and intermediary viewpoint has been invaluable.
"Her new role allows her expertise to expand across all areas of our business; private medical insurance, cash plans, protection, group risk and employee benefits.
"PCG places great emphasis on its relationships with insurers and works strenuously to maintain close commercial relationships with all insurers across all product lines.
"Claire is the right person to continue and build on this essential part of our business."
