Allianz Worldwide Care has launched a new product range to offer life and disability cover alongside its existing international health offering.
The new products mean clients can now source a greater range of products from the same insurer to provide a broad health and life insurance package, and gain a premium discount as a result.
Allianz Worldwide Care told COVER the move was a "play on efficiencies" and that it expected the new business to eventually make up around 20% of total premium.
It added that the products may be further refined, as no insurer had done this in the UK before.
Ron Buchan, chief executive of Allianz Worldwide Care said: "We can now offer corporate clients and their brokers the convenience of sourcing a range of insurance products from a single insurer. These products are all key elements of an employee benefits package, helping our clients to attract and retain staff.
"For corporate HR, there are cost benefits as well as efficiencies in terms of the number of relationships they need to manage throughout the year when it comes to incepting and renewing policies and paying premiums.
"Plus, we can offer clients a global solution, with one system for reporting and policy administration, regardless of the product combination they have chosen."
The new products follow the July 2014 merger of Allianz Worldwide Care Ltd and the international divisions of Allianz France creating Allianz Worldwide Care SA, which has a single licence for both health and insurance underwriting, and will be regulated by the French regulator.
The company's support hub will be based in Dublin.
Susan Landers, head of marketing and client management added: "We can offer life and disability cover tailored to each client's needs, whether they are small, medium or large groups. As well as the convenience of having a number of products with one insurer, this will also be commercially attractive, as clients who choose more than one type of product will benefit from a premium discount."
