Canada Life Group Insurance has launched a newly focused sales team to support advisers who work with small firms' automatic enrolment solutions.
The dedicated team will focus on the small and micro employer segment and maximising the use of Class - Canada Life's online administration and reporting system -to simplify the link between automatic enrolment with group risk.
Employers with less than 250 and less than 50 employees will arrive at their staging dates in February 2014 and April 2015 respectively.
Canada Life's initiatives will support new-to-market growth of group risk schemes alongside pension provision as new-to-benefits employers explore their options.
Jon Ford, sales director at Canada Life Group Insurance said: "We believe that automatic enrolment is a once in a business lifetime opportunity to grow the group risk market and so as a fully intermediated group insurer we need to provide additional support to our advisers in the small and micro employer segment."
Ford said Canada Life is planning to further evolve its support to employers and intermediaries over the next 12-24 months, with a range of innovative programmes aimed at enhancing adviser understanding of the marketplace, the automatic enrolment opportunity and Class.
