Carr Consulting & Communications (CCC) has set up a protection focussed Facebook page it intends to grow as a consumer resource on all things protection.
The purpose of the page is to raise awareness and education of key protection issues amongst consumers, particularly around affordability and claims, that it is much cheaper than most people realise and that over 90% of all claims are paid.
Kevin Carr, managing director of CCC, explained: "I would welcome and encourage the industry to 'like' the page and also to suggest content and ideas on the page itself.
"We will be posting links to consumer news stories, useful statistics, FAQs etc... - and the page will also welcome any questions from the public. We will manage the content carefully with a few positive and relevant updates each week."
Carr added that the page would not be giving any advice but that adviser firms are free to visit the page and comment. The page went live on Friday.
CCC Ltd, launched in July 2013, provides public relations and consultancy services to the financial services industry, mainly in the protection sector. Carr is also the chief executive of the Protection Review.
