Bupa has opened a ‘multi-million pound' health centre in the City of London, specialising in musculoskeletal conditions, cardiology, diagnostic tests and dermatology.
The centre, in Basinghall Street, is also the first Bupa centre to have an MRI scanner.
It will be open members of the public whether or not they are Bupa members, and will offer early morning, lunchtime and evening appointments. Private GP appointments are available, often on the same or next day.
The musculoskeletal team will offer consultations, diagnosis and treatment for muscle, bone and joint conditions including injuries, arthritis and back or knee pain.
The centre also has a fully-equipped rehabilitation gym to help patients to get back to fitness after an injury.
Its cardiology service features specialist technology and diagnostic capabilities, including ECGs, echocardiograms and blood pressure monitoring, while on-going care is provided by experienced cardiologists from Bupa's partner London hospitals.
In addition, the centre's dermatology consultants will offer skin consultations, skin cancer checks, mole and skin tag removal as well as treatment for skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis.
Tracey Fletcher, managing director of Bupa Health Clinics described the location of the clinic as "very convenient for City workers, including many of our business clients."
