Exeter Family Friendly navigates technology balancing act

Exeter Family Friendly has re-launched its website.

The insurer has aimed to simplify adviser use of the site in managing ongoing quotes, applications and new policies.

A timeline feature has been added to provide advisers with access to application and new policy status.

And an added ‘quick quote' function aims to enable advisers to get a speedy range of prices without selecting specific policy options.

Mike O'Brien, head of intermediary sales at Exeter, said: "We know how important it is to offer advisers a smooth online journey; they don't have time to navigate complex sites and pages.

"We, like them would much rather they were free to concentrate on what's most important; advising on protection policies."

He added designing the website was a balance between providing enough information and making it accessible.
