Cash plan provider, Paycare, has introduced a new healthcare plan aimed at young adults.

The new Paycare Go plan allows young people continue to receive healthcare services that up until their 18th birthday were freely provided by the state.

The plan gives those aged between 18-24 years - a 100% refund (up to an annual limit) on dental, optical, physiotherapy and a host of other treatments including, acupuncture and osteopathy.

For those planning a gap year there is an inoculation and vaccination benefit.

Gail Maltby, Paycare's chief executive, said the plan will be seen by parents and grandparents as ideal to support children and grandchildren while at college or university with limited financial means.

Maltby added: "Most young people put off visits to the dentist or opticians to avoid unexpected expenses and with little knowledge of the benefits available to them; healthcare costs are normally excluded from their budgets."

Two levels of cover are offered at £5 and £10 per month giving annual cover valued at £235 and £470 respectively.
