Best Doctors grows Australian business

Best Doctors has expanded its Australian operation by signing an extension with MLC, the wealth management division of the National Australian Bank (NAB).

The company's second medical opinion service will now be available to all of MLC's group salary continuance clients.

Following a three-year agreement in 2009 the service was available to critical illness policyholders and their families, enabling them to get expert second medical opinions on their diagnosis and treatment.

This has been extended to all group salary continuance insurance policyholders.

Dominic Howard, director of UK & Ireland at Best Doctors said: "The UK and Australian group risk markets have many parallels while NAB has franchises in the UK with Yorkshire Bank and Clydesdale Bank."
