More than half of intermediaries think a protection training academy for advisers would help make consumers more aware of the need for protection, according to COVER's latest web poll.

The online survey revealed that 62.5% of advisers believed that an academy designed to train them about the ins and outs of protection would, in the end, increase consumer awareness. Some 37.5% disagreed.

There seems to be a growing trend among providers to launch income protection with a shorter payout period. Do you believe this could endanger the very essence of the product?
