COVER Excellence Awards 2016: Provider winners revealed

The COVER Excellence Awards 2016 took place last night to recognise exceptional protection and health insurance products, providers and intermediaries.

The event was held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London and was hosted by the comedian Chris Turner.  AIG Life scooped a double win with best individual critical illness and best individual life insurance.  British Friendly also won best income protection and best new product.  Karin Lloyd won the coveted lifetime achivement award for her work on Seven Families while Scottish Widows' Johnny Timpson took home the prize 'insurance personality of the year.'  There was also a special recognition award in tribute to Ian McMullan, the former managing director of Ca...
