Wiltshire Friendly Society has announced high claims payments on income protection, with 97.6% of all claims paid.
One of a growing number of providers calling for openness in IP statistics, John Sanders, chief executive of the Wiltshire said it is essential to produce these figures alongside strong terms and conditions.
The income protection specialists noted that, when added to the two previous year's statistics, the average over the past three years stands at just over 97.8%.
"It is vitally important for us to not only provide first class products at inception, but also efficient processing and payments at the time of claim. Advisers should obtain significant comfort from these figures and remain confident that the Society will look after their clients at what can be an extremely difficult time," he said.
Sanders also revealed the society has had no Financial Ombudsman Service referrals since 2005.
"Whilst this may surprise many, it should not be forgotten that as a mutual based society, we exist for the sole benefit of our members", he said.
