PruProtect has unveiled a mobile quote facility and improved digital communications for advisers to use on its life and critical illness products.
The provider says it is the first service of its kind in the UK market that also includes a range of online sales tools.
Intermediaries will be able to receive quotes on handheld devices, email quotes to clients from their phones and check pipeline reports to help get clients' cover in place.
Secure online correspondence between advisers and their clients will also be possible, which the insurer says will reduce paperwork and save time.
The new sales tools are:
- a system to quote for a range of options without conducting multiple or repeat quotes;
- ‘up sell' campaigns for intermediaries to contact existing clients who are already eligible to increase their cover;
- business retention services so that intermediaries will be alerted within 24 hours of any missed premiums;
- and intermediaries can now book tele-interviews online for their clients using Medicals Direct.
The new changes are being rolled out across late October and early November and the provider is also donating support £10 per Heart and Cancer Cover policy sold to the British heart Foundation until February.
Commenting on the announcement, Justin Taurog, director of marketing and distribution at PruProtect, said: "We understand that providing quotes on the move, keeping intermediaries informed at all times, and making all aspects of the process easier, has never been more essential in the difficult economic times."
