Royal London and Royal Liver complete deal

Royal London this morning confirmed it has completed its takeover of Royal Liver.

The deal, which began in summer 2010, has been completed with the approval of the Financial Services Authority.

Negotiations began after Royal Liver suffered serious losses during 2009.

The newly-merged company now has assets of more then £33bn and nearly six million customers.
