Aegon has introduced a new range of online support material aimed at the business protection market.
The material includes practical "hints and tips" on how advisers could identify and approach potential customers in this market. The kit covers business continuity and succession planning, and also includes a frequently asked question video featuring Tony Wickenden, consultant with financial consultants Technical Connection.
Alun Benyon, head of sales and distribution at Aegon, says: "The business protection market is relatively untapped and out online toolkit aims to drive home the message of what can happen, not just to businesses, but also family members if a key individual or shareholder within the business becomes critically ill or dies.
He adds that he believes there is a perception amongst advisers that business protection is over complicated, especially when it comes to the more technical tax and trust matters. He says: "So we have developed support material on these areas which can also be downloaded from the toolkit.
