Roy McLoughin of Master Adviser will be the keynote speaker at the next Income Protection Taskforce Roadshow.
The roadshows are designed to help intermediaries further understand the need for income protection and the importance of it within the financial planning process.
The event is hosted by Aviva and takes place in London on 15th June, with two sessions available, at 10am or 2pm, both lasting about two hours.
Kevin Murdoch, senior proposition development manager at Aviva UK Health, says: "Income protection plays a key role in long-term financial protection and while many consumers do not feel they need it, in reality we never know what's round the corner.
"Many of us believe that there's support available if we're unable to work but in reality few people have the savings available to support them long-term and state provision could be as little as £100 per week, this may not even cover a family's shopping bill, let alone their mortgage and other expenses.
"We don't believe that this is a risk consumers should take and are pleased to be hosting this event to help give advisers the skills and knowledge they need to recommend the income protection cover their customers need to fill this important gap," he adds.
Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first serve basis.
To book, intermediaries should contact Andrea on 023 8037 8198 or via email [email protected]
