Zurich is publishing new guidance for advisers on the underwriting process for large protection cases.

The provider's underwriting team has developed this latest guide to clarify large case underwriting and help advisers in this market.

It provides details on the levels of cover available for clients and the supporting financial evidence that clients are required to submit during the application process, while also explaining the support available to advisers for high net worth clients.

To accompany the guide, Zurich has also refined its series of financial questionnaires, in order to make the application process smoother and more efficient for both advisers and their clients.

The new documents have been released to mark the 25th anniversary of the provider's large case underwriting team.

Richard Hill, director of new business support services at Zurich, said: "We are keen to ensure that advisers tap into the team's wealth of knowledge, gained from twenty five years' experience of taking underwriting out into the field and tailoring service to meet the needs of this demanding market segment.

"By sharing our expertise and providing further support in the form of guides and help lines, we provide advisers with the help they need to succeed in the large case arena and grow their businesses."

The Guide to Financial Underwriting and Large Cases - and financial questionnaires; are available to download from the provider's website:
