An employee fundraising day at Aviva's sites across the UK for the family bereavement charity Grief Encounter has raised over £5,000.
Events held to raise money included sponsored cycling challenges with an indoor challenge in Norwich with five teams each riding the 124 mile distance from Aviva's office to that of Grief Encounter in London.
Teams from the York and Sheffield offices cycled between the two, crossing each other over on the 90 mile route.
At the Norwich office staff voted on which managers had to sit in cold baths, with staff then paying to add ice.
There were also cake sales and raffles, with a 10km run, netball match and talent show planned for later in the year.
Louise Colley, managing director, protection for Aviva said: "We have worked with Grief Encounter since 2011 and the work they do for bereaved families never ceases to amaze me or move me to tears.
"The response from Aviva workers has been amazing and so many people have made the effort to cycle, bake, bathe and donate, all to help this fantastic charity and the families it supports."
