The inclusion of child death benefit has 'provided scope for confusion'

The year 2018 will be remembered as the year that children's critical illness finally received the same forensic attention as adult cover. Most insurers have upped the ante and added various child-specific conditions and some, such as AIG Life, Guardian, Legal & General and Royal London, have moved away from the standard £25,000 or 50% figure.
