L&G promotes Shattock as managing director for UK protection

Legal & General has appointed James Shattock as managing director for UK protection, replacing Steve Griffiths who is retiring.

Shattock has been promoted to the role, from his current position as commercial director for retail protection, and will take over in December, joining the retail executive leadership team. He enters the position with over 25 years' experience in the insurance industry across both the direct and reinsurance markets. Shattock joined L&G three years ago from Unum UK, where he was chief underwriting officer. He will replace Steve Griffiths, who is retiring after a 17-year career at L&G, where he led the retail protection and group protection businesses over the last six years. Pippa K...
