UK workers are losing up to 61 working days in productivity every year due to mental health problems, according to research by employee wellbeing company Telus Health.
The group's Mental Health Index, based on a survey of 2,000 workers in the UK, found younger people and women are more likely to disclose having suffered some form of mental health problem. Workers under 40 were twice as likely as workers over 50 to report being diagnosed with anxiety and depression, while women were 70% more likely than men to report being diagnosed with anxiety.
