Thirty-seven additional definitions and increased flexibility for CIC

The individual protection wing of Canada Life has added over 30 further conditions and widened the definitions of some existing definitions for critical illness cover (CIC). There are now 52 core illness (previously 41), 44 additional illnesses (previously 19) and six child-specific illness, bringing the total conditions covered to 102 (previously 66). Advance payments are now available ahead of surgery for 11 procedures and new children's terminal illness cover pays up to £25,000 (or 50% of the amount of cover) if a child is diagnosed with a terminal illness that cannot be claimed fo...
