Legal & General's third critical illness upgrade of 2018 has brought with it an increase in the payment level of adult additional payment condition within the critical illness extra plan, from the current lower of £25,000 or 25% of the sum insured to the lower of £30,000 or 25% of the sum insured. Children's critical illness extra has been "boosted" by the addition of craniosynostosis, which increases the number of child-specific conditions to 13.
