CIXpert reviews Canada Life's upgrades to to the critical illness component of its CanProtect policies.

Most notably it has fallen into line with its main competitors by exceeding the ABI model wording for heart attack.  As heart attacks represent around 18% of male claims it is an important improvement.  Similarly, children's payments have been adjusted to reflect the industry norm of lower of £25,000 or 50% of sum assured.
