Allianz has chosen Best Doctors to provide the Second Medical Opinion service in its new insurance and assistance services partnership with Lebara.
Second Medical Opinion is the first of the services to be rolled out in the new Lebara Allianz collaboration for the world's migrant community.
Best Doctors will initially provide Lebara's most loyal customers in the UK, with expert medical information and second opinions on serious medical conditions from a worldwide network of experts.
Eligible customers will also be able to nominate two family members in the UK or abroad for the Best Doctors service.
Dominic Howard, european director at Best Doctors, said:"We are always keen to find new access points to our service and this new Allianz Lebara partnership is a significant opportunity. Getting into the telecommunications space is an exciting development for Best Doctors, especially working with such respected companies.
"Our service will give Lebara's customers a real point of differentiation as part of their growth, sales and retention strategy. We would expect to roll-out the service in due course to other territories."
Theo Bouts, head of global life and health at Allianz Group, added: "Our new insurance partnership is an opportunity to help the global community of immigrants. Our use of Best Doctors for the roll-out of Second Medical Opinion provides access to an innovative and cost-effective health insurance service that will benefit migrants and their families."
