The Association of Medical Insurers and Intermediaries (AMII) has upgraded its website with changes including an ‘Ask the Expert' tool.
The changes have been developed to highlight the organisation's position as the voice of the UK private medical insurance and wellbeing industry.
It is also intended to educate consumers on the role of medical insurance and provide them with an industry guide.
The ‘Ask the Expert' tool allows users to access free, professional help and support from experts on a range of health and wellbeing topics, including policy terms and conditions, making a claim and how to obtain a quote.
It also has a ‘Find an Expert' option to locate those in the sector nearest to them.
Stuart Scullion, chairman of AMII (pictured), said: "We are really pleased to have created a professional and dynamic resource that meets the ever-changing needs of the health and wellbeing sector, and which has been influenced by the needs of those who will be accessing it.
"Our unique free ‘Ask an Expert' facility is a new element to the website, which allows users to access independent advice on a whole range of health and wellbeing services - either for themselves, their family, or their business.
"Our ultimate aim was to build a site which could act as a central point for members, insurance providers and consumers to access all the information they may require in one place, and we are pleased to have achieved this."
