Punter Southall Health & Protection has launched a 24/7 GP facility for employers in a bid to tackle the growing issue of access to GP services.
The Med24 Service provides guaranteed convenient telephone access to UK based practising GPs 24/7, 365 days a year.
It also offers an e-consultation facility and the option of private prescriptions with medication delivered directly to home or work, as well as a referral to specialists where appropriate.
Users have access to a library of medically validated fact sheets, including 1100+ health conditions, treatments, travel advice and immunisation, together with a facility to store their own medical information and a handy symptom checker tool.
The Med24 GP Service can be accessed from anywhere in the world via an App on any smart phone, tablet, laptop or PC or by telephone without restrictions on number or duration of consultations.
The service is provided in conjunction with Medical Solutions UK Ltd, which employs more than 50 currently practising NHS GPs to ensure that the service is "robust and that all medical advice is up to date and follows proper NHS protocols and GMC best practice."
