Seven Families urges industry to take part in social media 'Action Day'

Seven Families is urging providers and advisers to participate in a social media ‘Action Day' on Thursday October 29th.

The Action Day is aimed at further raising the profile of the project and will focus on the help that carers provide to people who are no longer well enough to work.

Peter Le Beau said: "Now that we have announced all Seven families the next stage of the project is to boost the core messages through social media. The Action Day is a great way to do this.

"On Thursday 29th October we are asking as many people as possible to participate by simply tweeting or sharing any of the content we put out on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. It only takes a few seconds hopefully we'll get as many people from providers and intermediary firms as possible taking part."

The project, which aims to raise awareness of the financial impact of long term illness or disability in association with the charity Disability Rights UK, has had over 250,000 views of the family videos on Facebook.

Le Beau added: "Will we be providing firms with content and guidelines in the coming weeks and we hope it runs across the weekend. The project itself will end next year, so let's all pull together and really make the most of what has already been an excellent initiative."
