AIG Life has appointed Adam Winslow as CEO, the insurer has announced.
Winslow was formerly chief operating officer at AIG's consumer division in the EMEA region, and prior to that was executive director of distribution for AIG in the UK.
Darren Spriggs resigned in April 2015 as managing director of AIG Life, along with finance director Jane Dale.
Winslow will report to Frederico Spagnoli, Regional CEO EMEA consumer for AIG, and will be based in London.
Spagnoli said: "We have big ambitions for AIG's Consumer division across EMEA and the Life operation is an essential element in helping us develop and maintain a compelling proposition to attract and retain customers.
"Adam's appointment will ensure continuity as we develop the business and, together with his team, he will be invaluable in helping us become more successful."
Winslow said: "I am very pleased to be taking up this role. AIG Life has a fantastic reputation for innovation and customer focus through the effective use of technology and high quality service.
"Our goal is to build on that expertise and knowhow. I'm looking forward to the challenges ahead."
