Bupa UK has launched an entry-level insurance product, Bupa Fundamental Health Insurance, to meet the demand for affordable Private Medical Insurance (PMI).
The product will be available through selected intermediaries from this week, and rolled out to others in the coming weeks.
Switch terms will be available to customers on existing personal schemes with their existing underwriting and exclusions.
The switch terms will also be available for employees leaving group corporate schemes from competitors.

Half of 32-55 year olds thought they couldn't afford healthcare while 37% would be more likely to have it if it was affordable, research by Bupa found.
