Staff raised £500.45 on the day, which will be matched by the Society to bring the total to £1000.90.

Phil Quinn, head of IT, donated his ponytail with "the big snip" with sealed bids for the chance to cut it off.

Paul Hudson, CEO of Cirencester Friendly said: "A great day was had by all in attendance and we are pleased to have been able to support two very worthwhile causes.

"Well done to all involved - especially Phil for sacrificing his pony-tail which has been over 25 years in the making!"
