Aviva has launched Aviva Life Protection Solutions (ALPS) a new end to end platform for advisers offering a faster ‘quote and apply' system than before.

The new quote and apply system will offer multi-product applications and signature free applications and is available through the Aviva for advisers website.

The interactive underwriting mode is anticipated by Aviva to result in 75% of applications being immediately accepted, with over 500,000 questions and 600 conditions included in the system.

A decision within 24 hours is anticipated for nine out of ten customers from the application alone.

Advisers using the interactive underwriting system will gain more commission and receive it faster.

Aviva has used the launched of the new platform to launch changes it to its life, critical illness (CI) and income protection policies.

Family income cover will be available on life and CI options, with cover for 56 conditions and up to £3m assured.

Louise Colley, protection director at Aviva said: "The introduction of Aviva Life Protection Solutions has helped us transform the way advisers do business with us so they can protect more lives, more easily.

"ALPS is an intuitive and interactive system which I've no doubt will save advisers valuable time and money, at the same time as better identifying customers' protection needs and providing them with that all-important peace of mind.

"By totally re-engineering our system, the journey from quote through to claim is much cleaner and easier to navigate and this will revolutionise how advisers will write protection business with us in the future."
