Bupa has launched a new ‘Bupa Life Stories' platform on YouTube to help inform people about care and treatment options for a range of health and elderly care issues.
The videos show the real-life experiences of people as they use Bupa's wide range of products and services.
Using research into the most searched health and care related questions, Bupa created a series of five minute unscripted documentary-style films, produced by KEO Films group.
The films focussed on the commonly researched health areas including elderly care, dermatology, musculoskeletal and dental care.
Saj Arshad, UK strategy & marketing director of Bupa UK said:"Our new films aim to help others understand what options might be available to them and the steps they might go through. We have a wealth of health-related products and services to suit customer needs that go above and beyond just paying the bill."
The platform forms part of the wider Bupa UK YouTube channel. Each film addresses a specific question such as, ‘what should I look for when choosing a care home?' or ‘what services does Bupa offer for people suffering from knee pain?' and documents a prospective customer's experience of using a Bupa product or service.
One film follows the journey of prospective Bupa customer Anne, in choosing the right care home for her elderly step father.
The video looks at the different factors to consider when making that decision and highlights everyday life in Bupa's Winters Park care home.
Another video tells Lee's story, an ex-veteran who suffers from a long-term back injury and decides to pay a visit to a Bupa Health Centre for a diagnosis from a Bupa Sports & Exercise Medicine Consultant. The video recounts Lee's journey from initial consultation right through to his rehabilitation programme.
The new platform follows on from the January 2015 launch of Bupa's TV advertising campaign.
