Cigna announces dental plan additions

Cigna UK HealthCare Benefits (UKHB) has added children's orthodontic treatment and dental implants to its group dental plans.

Children's orthodontic treatment is available on Cigna's DentaCare plans levels two to four.

Dental implant treatment will also be available, which will be available on both Cigna's dental plans, levels two to four of the DentaCare plan and levels two to five on the OralHealth plan.

Last year Cigna added a Healthy Discounts benefit offering a 20% discount for those using a Cigna Healthy Discounts dentist.

James Parker, managing director of Cigna UKHB, said: "At Cigna we recognise our dental plan designs need to evolve in line with customer needs and dental care practice.

"UK consumers are becoming increasingly aware of the different options available to them to maintain or enhance their oral health.

"Therefore it is important our dental plans cover what matters to them.

"We're confident the introduction of these new orthodontic and implant benefits will be welcomed by our members."
