Canada Life Group Insurance has made improvements to the ‘Canada Life Automated Self Service' administration system.
Known as CLASS, this automated end-to-end administration system is used for Group Risk schemes for employers with up to 100 employees.
Canada Life upgraded CLASS following adviser feedback. As a result of the changes, advisers can now upload employees' job titles, which the system will automatically match to the correct occupation type and provide recommendations for those that cannot be matched.
The CLASS platform was previously re-launched in May 2014, allowing for multiple browser compatibility and an improved user experience.
Paul Avis, marketing director at Canada Life Group Insurance (pictured), said: "We continue to listen to our advisers who previously had to choose each occupation for each employee. Concerns were raised about the time it took to do this and more importantly whether the right occupation was being chosen and, if not, would this affect the payment of a claim.
"Automating the occupations upload means that individual occupations will only ever have to be selected on an exception basis. This will both reduce the time to quote on CLASS, and remove many of the concerns advisers had about claims payments, whilst reinforcing our commitment to ‘Treating Customers Fairly' in all that we do.
He continued:"In 2015, advisers can expect further exciting augmentations to CLASS to continue to support SME Group Risk growth. With this development we have demonstrated our understanding of the support that advisers want when they write Group Risk business and with SME pensions Automatic Enrolment on the horizon we are aware of a significant, impending opportunity for our marketplace."
