Westfield Health has unveiled an intermediary toolkit designed to help advisers generate more income through selling health cover.
The kit contains educational materials to help advisers spot both new and existing sales opportunities and prepare effectively for client meetings, as well as sales tools such as prospecting letters and email templates.
Launched at the first of Westfield Health's seven UK adviser roadshows, the toolkit is the latest move to ‘debunk the myths' it believes are preventing advisers from selling health products.
Steve Sharrock, head of intermediary sales at Westfield Health, said: "Employers are increasingly looking towards health plans as a key employee benefit that can keep staff motivated, happy and healthy - especially at a time when the NHS is under a tremendous amount of pressure and many employees are faced with longer waits for treatment.
"This toolkit demonstrates how intermediaries - whether they specialise in healthcare or not - can identify and secure sales opportunities that benefit both existing and new clients and in turn, boosts their own income."
Recent research carried out by Westfield Health revealed that 95% of senior decision makers say the health of their workforce is ‘important to the success of their business - yet just 35% of businesses currently offer health insurance.
