True Potential to launch protection via its platform

True Potential has said it is planning to offer protection products, including an investment-linked proposition, via its platform.

A spokesperson for the platform provider confirmed it is in currently in discussions with potential partners within the protection industry.

It is looking to offer critical illness cover, life insurance, term assurance and mortgage protection, as well as an investment-linked protection product.

However, the provider has not yet set a launch date for when its protection offering will be live.

True Potential is the most recent platform provider to announce interest in the protection space.

Previously COVER revealed Zurich is set to offer its protection proposition on its retail platform later in the year while Nucleus launched a life assurance proposition in December 2012.
