APRIL UK has launched a new private medical insurance policy for SMEs.

The policy for companies with between 3-29 employees, is being offered in response to latest research which revealed significant demand for a new provider within the sector.

The modular plan offers customers a choice of benefit combinations and will allow companies to select an unlimited number of benefit combinations covering health cash, psychiatric, complementary medicine, worldwide travel and an extended hospital list.

The SME plan includes excess options at £100, £250 and £500.

As with all other APRIL UK plans, customers will also have automatic enrolment to Best Doctors and the APRIL UK Discount Portal which provides discounts at over 20,000 locations and sites throughout the UK.

Bristol based APRIL UK will roll out the new policy to brokers from 1 November.

Isaac Lam, marketing manager at APRIL UK, said: "Key to our approach when drawing up our new PMI plan was to reduce the unnecessary complexity usually associated with group PMI. We were determined to bring out a simple and user friendly plan, but crucially without sacrificing benefits or choice."
