Medicash has launched a secure ‘corporate portal' or online customer administration system for intermediaries and corporate clients.
The new move is part of a infrastructure investment, which will also include a new back-office system to streamline all internal processes at the business and reduce the time taken to process claims.
Completion of the project is expected by the end of 2013, integrating all Medicash systems, including new customer set-up, invoicing, finance and claims payments into a single bespoke Microsoft package.
The new portal allows intermediaries and corporate clients to manage membership details and levels of cover and to add and remove individuals eligible for cover under a Medicash cash plan online.
Commenting on the new software, Matt Allen, finance director at Medicash, who is managing the project, said: "The development of the corporate portal is the first phase in longer term plans to improve the way we do business, making it easier and quicker for intermediaries and corporate clients to actively manage the details of their eligible employees.
"The new system has also been designed to improve our internal systems, allowing us to focus more on value-added services for policyholders and corporate clients going forward."
