The Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries has widened the position of insurer representative on its executive committee following the decision to allow providers to be members.
Liz Naulls has stepped down from the role as part of the association's routine re-shuffle following her change of role within Aviva.
Wayne Pontin, chairman of AMII, said: "Naulls would not be replaced immediately due to AMII opening its membership to insurers."
Later in the year nominations will be sought for two insurer representatives to round out the committee.
Other AMII executive committee changes include; Graeme Godfrey from Best Go Private elected treasurer, having already served two years on the committee, replacing Debbie Kleiner-Gaines from Best Health Business who steps down after four years; Debbie Jones from Anglia Healthcare elected; and re-election of Hazel Gregory from Medical Insurance Services.
The remaining committee members are Stuart Scullion from The Private Health Partnership, Sue Smith of ADVO Group and Brian Walters at Regency Health.
This year's AMII Summit will take place on 9 July at the Royal College of Physicians in London.
