AXA PPP bucked PMI trend in 2012

clock

AXA PPP healthcare's membership base grew by 11% in 2012.

During 2012 AXA PPP saw an over 3% increase in UK private medical insurance member numbers for AXA PPP healthcare during a period when the wider UK market has seen a decline.

AXA PPP's international healthcare business also claimed strong growth, supported, it said, by new services such as MyGlobe, providing online support for members in over 240 countries and Prestige Plus - a high end plan for individuals and employees living overseas.

Keith Gibbs, chief executive at AXA PPP healthcare, commented: "It is particularly satisfying that in addition to growing our UK membership we have also achieved very rapid international growth.

"Given the difficult economic climate our strategy of building partnerships with intermediaries and corporate clients whilst working in a responsible manner with the hospital and medical community has proved highly successful."
