Simplyhealth has launched a revised company-paid cash plan.

The product offers a primary care module, free child cover, discounted gym membership, online health risk assessments and a dental accident benefit.

Howard Hughes, head of employer marketing at Simplyhealth, said: "Over the past few years the corporate paid health cash plan market has seen considerable year on year growth.

"In times of economic difficulty, organisations are choosing to invest further in the health of their employees over traditional remuneration benefits such as pay rises and bonuses."

The product will include a GP helpline, help with prescription charges, GP fees and vaccinations as part of the primary care module.

Up to four children under 18 can be added to the plan for free with a 30-day window for employees to upgrade and add partners.

An employee assistance programme, hospital and accident cover, child payment, an absence management programme can be added to the core product.
